Tangaroa is the Maori God of the sea. We respect and honour Tangaroa's domain. We are also friends of Owatatsumi, the Japanese lord of the sea and all water creatures.

As friends of both Tangaroa and Owatatsumi, we are committed to stopping scientific whaling in the southern ocean in a way that respects and honours the cultures of all involved.

Members

Feel free to join the campaign either short term for specific activities or long term.

To become a member, you will need to agree to abide by our Code of Ethics. There is no membership fee and you do not need to attend the fortnightly meetings, although you are welcome to.

We need members to help get the message to those in New Zealand with Japanese contacts, to make phone calls, manage our Contacts and Members database, contact the papers, the schools and 101 other things we have not yet thought about.
