Home Kid's Corner Artwork

Tangaroa is the Maori God of the sea. We respect and honour Tangaroa's domain. We are also friends of Owatatsumi, the Japanese lord of the sea and all water creatures.

As friends of both Tangaroa and Owatatsumi, we are committed to stopping scientific whaling in the southern ocean in a way that respects and honours the cultures of all involved.

Plimmerton School (Artwork)

Our Treasures

The artwork contributed by the Year 3 & 4 classes of Plimmerton School, Wellington. The pastels were done as part of a computer based research project undertaken by the children. They talked about how whales are a part of our world and how we still need to protect these beautiful creatures from harm. As part of the study they were asked to draw pictures and the theme was "Whales in the sea enjoying a pollution and danger free life".
